Cinnamon and Raspberry Heart Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries, mashed

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in mashed raspberries.
  5. Roll out cookie dough on a floured surface. Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
  7. Cool on a wire rack and serve.
