Moroccan Beef Stuffed Breads
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions:
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cook until onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add parsley, cilantro, almonds, and raisins to the skillet. Cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool.
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into balls.
- Roll each piece of dough into a 6-inch circle and spoon about 1/4 cup of the beef mixture onto the center of the dough circle.
- Pinch opposite ends of the dough together, covering the filling and forming a ball.
- Place the stuffed breads on a greased baking sheet and allow them to rise for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Brush the top of each stuffed bread with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
