Panna Cotta Recipe (Lactose-Free)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of unflavored gelatin
  • Fresh berries and mint leaves (for garnishing)

Instructions:

  1. Pour the coconut milk into a pot over medium heat and bring it to a simmer, while stirring constantly. Do not let it boil.
  2. Whisk in the honey and vanilla extract until it’s well combined. Then sprinkle and whisk in the unflavored gelatin until it’s dissolved. You can allow it to simmer for another 2 minutes, ensuring the gelatin is properly dissolved.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes. Then strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into desired serving glasses or bowls. Cover and refrigerate them for at least 3 hours, or until they’re set and firm.

Serving Suggestions:

The lactose-free panna cotta can be served with fresh berries and a garnish of mint leaves arranged on top of each serving. You can also serve it with layers of crushed biscuits, fruits, or caramel sauce. This dessert is best served chilled.

Verdict:

This lactose-free panna cotta recipe is a healthier and equally delicious alternative to the traditional one made with heavy cream. It’s an easy-to-make dessert that’s perfect for topping off a fancy dinner or as a delightful snack on its own. Enjoy!
