Puff Pastries with Red Fruits
Ingredients:
- 1 package of frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chopped strawberries, raspberries, brown sugar, and cornstarch, and mix until well combined.
- Unroll puff pastry and cut into 6 rectangles.
- Spoon the berry mixture evenly onto 3 of the rectangles, leaving about 1/2 inch border around the edges.
- Top each pastry rectangle with another pastry rectangle and press the edges together with a fork to crimp.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
