Summer Makis in 3 Versions: Easy Recipe (3 Steps – 30 Min)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked sushi rice
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 nori sheets
  • Options for filling:
    • Version 1: Cucumber, avocado
    • Version 2: Crab meat, avocado, cucumber, carrot
    • Version 3: Mango, cucumber, avocado, sesame seeds, sriracha sauce

Instructions:

  1. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until sugar dissolves. Add sushi rice to this mixture and let it cool down.
  2. Cut the filling ingredients into thin slices.
  3. Lay the nori sheet on a sushi mat, shiny side down. Spread the cooled sushi rice on top, leaving a ½ inch border on the top and bottom edges. Arrange filling ingredients on top of the rice. Roll the sushi mat tightly, lifting the mat while rolling the makis away from the mat. Seal the edges with water.
  4. Repeat with remaining nori sheets and filling ingredients.
  5. Cut each roll into 8 pieces.
