The Garden, The Sea and The Feather in a Shell Version

Ingredients:

  • 20 mussels
  • 20 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 20 scallops
  • 20 thinly sliced zucchinis
  • 20 thinly sliced mushrooms
  • 20 thinly sliced carrots
  • 20 thinly sliced asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon garlic butter
  • 20 angel hair pasta nests
  • 20 quail eggs
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 20 mini shrimp

Instructions:

Mussels and Tomatoes:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss together the mussels, cherry tomatoes, chopped onion, olive oil, white wine, vegetable broth, parsley, and salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large oven safe dish and bake for 25 minutes or until the mussels have opened.
  4. Remove the dish from the oven and add the butter. Stir gently until the butter has melted and is evenly distributed.

Scallops and Vegetables:

  1. Heat the garlic butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the scallops and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  3. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the thinly sliced zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, and asparagus to the skillet and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Pasta, Egg and Shrimp:

  1. Cook the angel hair pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Crack the quail eggs into a small bowl and whisk with a fork.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Spray with cooking spray.
  4. Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until set.
  5. Using a biscuit cutter, cut out 20 small circles from the cooked eggs.
  6. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise onto each circle.
  7. Place one cooked mini shrimp onto each circle.

Serving Suggestions:

Arrange the mussels and tomatoes, scallops and vegetables, and pasta nests with egg and shrimp onto a large plate. Serve hot as an appetizer or main dish. Enjoy the fusion of flavors and fresh ingredients in this unique culinary experience!
