Truffle with candied chestnuts, pralines, meringues and popcorn

Truffle with Candied Chestnuts, Pralines, Meringues, and Popcorn Recipe

This elegant and sweet dessert combines the earthy richness of truffles with the crunchiness of candied chestnuts and popcorn, complemented by the nuttiness of pralines and the lightness of meringues. It is easy to make and is perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate truffles, chopped
  • 100g candied chestnuts, chopped
  • 50g pralines, chopped
  • 50g meringues, crushed
  • 30g popcorn, plain or caramelized
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar, to dust (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chopped truffles in a heatproof bowl and set it over a pan of simmering water. Stir until the chocolate has melted and is smooth.
  2. Remove the bowl from the heat and add the chopped candied chestnuts, chopped pralines, crushed meringues, and popcorn. Mix well to combine.
  3. Line a tray or plate with parchment paper. Scoop a tablespoon of the mixture into a ball and place it onto the tray. Repeat with the remaining mixture, making about 12-15 truffles.
  4. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes or until firm. This will help the truffles to set and hold their shape.
  5. Before serving, brush the melted butter over the truffles and dust with icing sugar, if desired.
