Citrus Soup with Spiced Muscat Syrup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup muscat wine
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup honey

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, muscat wine, cinnamon stick, and ground cloves. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the orange juice, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and honey. Pour the cooled spiced syrup into the juice mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight. Serve chilled.
