Five Tartars on a Slice of Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb salmon fillet
  • 1/2 lb tuna steak
  • 1/2 lb yellowtail fillet
  • 1/2 lb swordfish steak
  • 1/2 lb scallops
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup diced avocado
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup capers, rinsed and chopped
  • 5 slices of bread of your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cut the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and swordfish into small cubes and set aside in separate bowls.
  2. Sear the scallops in a skillet over high heat for 2 minutes per side until browned. Remove from heat and let cool before dicing them into small cubes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, dill, chives, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Divide the diced red onion, cucumber, avocado, and capers evenly among each of the bowls containing the fish and scallops. Drizzle the lemon-dill dressing over each bowl and toss to combine.
  5. Toast a slice of bread and spoon a generous portion of each tartar on top.
