Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground veal
  • 1/2 pound chicken liver, pureed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, toasted and roughly chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, ground beef, ground veal, chicken liver, onion, garlic, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, brandy, and tomato paste.
  3. Add the heavy cream, eggs, pistachios, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix well.
  4. Grease a casserole dish with cooking spray or butter.
  5. Pour the meat mixture into the casserole dish and smooth the top.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
