Yoghurt Flavored with Saffron – Régal Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups plain yoghurt
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Chopped pistachios, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Place the saffron strands in a small bowl and pour 2 tablespoons boiling water over them. Allow to steep for 10 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the yoghurt, honey, rose water, and cardamom powder.
  3. Remove the saffron strands from the bowl of water and reserve the water.
  4. Add the saffron to the yoghurt mixture and stir well to combine.
  5. Gradually add the reserved saffron water to the yoghurt mixture, stirring constantly, until the desired consistency is achieved.
  6. Chill the yoghurt in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped pistachios before serving.
